If Addison Rae can have a rebrand, so can I!

Hey... how y'all doing? So some might say that it's been a little bit (two years) since my last post. But who's counting? Plus, time actually isn't real because what do you mean 2024 was TWO YEARS AGO, that's diabolical. I wish I could say that I have a good excuse for my absence, like being busy with a life-altering career, but I don't. I'm just tired.

Although I will say this blog was birthed from a Writing for the Web class that I took my sophomore year of college, and genuinely I am grateful that I was able to make this blog because of it, as I probably would have never thought to on my own time. However, the professor was kind of unique; we will just say that because I don't want to get sued, and she (hopefully) saw my course evaluation. Also, I don't want to harp on her too much because she very well could still get notifications that I am touching this blog. Short story long, I feel that I kind of fell off with this blog because in the end it was for a grade and there were restrictions like not turning your blog into a diary, which I don't think I did, or did I? But since I am free from the confides of being told what to do I am back and better than ever and I want to post regularly all while being authentic!

Ironically, I am back to post a project for another college class. To break things down, I am wrapping up a Multimedia Storytelling class, which is kind of like a mini-journalism class, or at least I think so. For our final project, we've been tasked to create something like a mini-news spread, or at least that's pretty much what I did. So, as the creator of "Girl, Blogging Interrupted," I am very proud to present the first issue of "Oh, Boy Magazine."

My intention with this project was to follow the footsteps of the British Vogue article from October 2025 that took the internet by storm, "Is Having a Boyfriend Embarrassing Now?" I wanted to cover this topic for a while, as the question has been on my mind due to some recent events in my own life. Also, to give a little life update since I've been gone, I am 21 now, so watch out. I am just finishing my junior year of college, which is insane because I feel like I just started. I'm still majoring in English, but since the fall of 2025, I am a film minor, so also watch out! But as far as what this topic has to do with my personal life, I've experienced a lot of plot twists in the world of dating. Specifically, if I could tell what I have gone through to my 2024 self, she would be on the floor. But I don't know what the writers who are writing my show are thinking, because please give me a break! Or at least write in a financial breakthrough, a shopping spree, or a man who isn't traumatizing.

All in all, I hope this piece adds more insight to this never-ending saga, as well as provides humor and comfort to those who have also encountered some toads in their path. Also, hello to any of my dear friends or family members viewing my blog, or finding out that I do, in fact, have a blog. And finally, if somehow any future employers come across my blog, do you like it? Or think I am funny and very humble? But most of all, have any openings?

Until next time!!

XOXO,

Sam 💋💋💗💗
